Terms of Service

MemberAlertX is a service of Xpandable Technology Lab LLC ("we," "us"). These terms cover memberalertx.com and the MemberAlertX text messages. By creating a group, joining one, or using the service, you agree to them. Organizers also agree to the UserAlertX Terms, because a MemberAlertX group runs on a UserAlertX account.

What MemberAlertX does

A group organizer sends short text alerts to the members of their group — a family, team, club or crew. Members join only by invitation: the organizer enters an email address, the person enters their own mobile number on their invite page, agrees to the texts, and replies YES to our confirmation text. Only then can that group text them. MemberAlertX is not a marketing, advertising, promotional or bulk-messaging service. There are no purchased, rented or shared contact lists, and organizers cannot enter or upload anyone's phone number.

Organizers

Invite only people you know who would expect your group's texts, using their real email addresses.
Send only the kind of notices your group joined for: schedule changes, cancellations, alarms, household or crew news. No ads, promotions, sales, fundraising appeals, political or charitable solicitation, or links that are only advertising.
Each group has a daily limit (10 texts a day to start) and texts include "MemberAlertX:", the group's name and "Reply STOP to opt out" automatically.
You're responsible for what you send. Keep your account's sign-in secure; anyone signed in to it can text your groups.
Carrier-restricted topics aren't allowed in group texts: stocks, trading and investment tips, cryptocurrency, loans and debt relief, cannabis, tobacco and alcohol, firearms, gambling, and adult content. Messages that mention them are refused, as are link shorteners.

Members

You join a group only by entering your own number on your invite page, agreeing to the texts, and replying YES. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Message frequency varies, up to the group's daily limit. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to stop all MemberAlertX texts, or STOP and a group's name to stop just that group. Reply START to resubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use MemberAlertX for unlawful, harassing, abusive or deceptive messages, to text anyone who hasn't opted in themselves, or to interfere with the service. We may pause a group or suspend an account that breaks these terms, draws complaints, or is used for marketing or spam.

Pricing

MemberAlertX uses the organizer's UserAlertX plan ($5 a month or $60 for 13 months, 50 tokens included each month; extra tokens can be bought). Each group text uses 1 token per person it reaches, shown before you send. Members are never charged by us. Billing, refunds and cancellation follow the UserAlertX Terms.

Termination

Organizers can delete a group or remove members at any time; members can reply STOP at any time. You can ask us to delete your data by emailing [email protected].

Disclaimer

MemberAlertX is provided "as is." We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free delivery — carrier networks and third-party services (including Twilio and Stripe) are outside our control. MemberAlertX is not an emergency alert system; don't rely on it alone for life-safety notices. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be shown here with an updated date.
